Get high, very high at the balloon festival

IMG_5598The International balloon festival of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu is extremely popular and particularly spectacular. The ride from Montreal to the site is less than 2 hours. The balloons are visible from all the surrounding area. Over one hundred balloons from all over the world are showed there. If you want to see how they are brought to the site and prepared, you can actually pay to go to the field, there are also all kinds of attractions and a show in the evening. During specific evenings, the balloons are illuminated for a greater effect. They are released very early in the morning (8:00am. ) and at about 6:00 pm. in the evening, since there is usually less wind during this time. For an extra fee, it’s even possible to get in the balloon.

There are so many hilarious balloons at the International balloon festival of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, like Clawd, the crazy crab, from Connecticut, who is constantly moving in all directions, or Tweetie and Puddy Cat , the inseparables from Missouri! IMG_5604 IMG_5605The funniest of all were the flying Elephant from Brazil and the Spider Pig from Arizona. And pigs may fly you would say, but now everything is possible! =)
